I don't think people appreciate how low "actual" tvl is in DeFi vs. reported tvl. We're nowhere near 2021 peak. I think staking is fairly well designed tho. A poorly designed staking system will have close over 90% participation of total supply, because it's the onto way to ensure you are not diluted long term.
